Why choose Flipns

Most things that could be sold never are, and the reason is almost never price — it is the twenty minutes of typing between deciding to sell and having something anybody can find. Flipns removes that step: add photos, or paste a link to the product page, and the assistant comes back with a title, a description, a category, a condition grade and a suggested price.

You review it, change whatever you disagree with, and publish. The trade-off we accept for this is that the first draft is sometimes wrong about a detail only you know — which is why nothing publishes until you have read it.

The identity badge on a Flipns profile exists only after a moderator has opened a government ID and reviewed it by hand. It is never granted automatically, and there is no price at which it can be purchased.

That is slower and more expensive than an automated check, and it is the point. A tick that anybody can obtain by paying is decoration; a tick somebody had to decide to give you is information. The separate phone badge means exactly what it says — a number confirmed by one-time password — and is deliberately not conflated with the identity one.

Listing on Flipns costs nothing, for new items and used ones alike, and Flipns takes no commission when something sells. The price you agree is the money you keep.

Revenue comes from sellers who choose to promote a specific item at a published price — 10 credits to feature a listing for a day, 8 to bump it back to the top, with pack prices shown at checkout. That aligns what we earn with sellers wanting more reach, rather than with taxing every deal on the platform. The trade-off is that we have to actually be worth paying for on a given listing, every time.

Flipns carries new and used products, homes for sale and for rent, and job postings, in one taxonomy with one set of trust signals. Individuals, shops and local businesses can show what they have, while a buyer moving to a new city can find a flat, a job and a fridge without changing sites.

It deliberately stops there. It does not list services, and each vertical is modelled properly rather than squeezed into a product shape — a job posting is marked up as a job with a salary and a period, not as a product with a price, and a flat is a property listing rather than a second-hand good. Breadth without that care is how a marketplace ends up describing a home as being in 'used' condition.

Every listing, seller profile, category and city on Flipns is a real server-rendered URL, readable without an account, carrying schema.org structured data that states the price, the condition, the city and the seller in machine-readable form. Those URLs are split across four sitemaps and described in an llms.txt for agents.

On top of that there is a public read-only API and a remote MCP server, so an AI assistant asked what is for sale near somebody can answer from live inventory rather than guessing. Most marketplaces treat this as something to prevent. We treat it as distribution — the whole point of listing something is for it to be found.

Public coordinates are coarsened on the server before they are published, so a map pin describes a neighbourhood and never a doorstep. Your email address is never shown, and your phone number is only ever public if you deliberately pay to publish it on one specific listing.

None of that is a setting you have to find. It is the default, and it applies identically to the website, the apps and the public API.

Flipns is a classifieds marketplace. It does not process payment for items, hold money in escrow, or arrange shipping or delivery. Buyers and sellers agree a price in chat and settle it directly when they meet.

We publish that as prominently as anything else on this page, because the most common marketplace fraud in India works by convincing somebody that the platform is standing behind a transaction it has no part in. A user who knows Flipns never holds their money is much harder to talk into transferring it to a stranger.

Nobody from Flipns will ever ask you for a one-time password, a UPI PIN or a card number. If someone claims to be holding your payment, they are not from Flipns.

India. Prices are in rupees, cities are Indian, the taxonomy is built for what Indians actually buy and sell, and support runs in English and Hindi. If you are looking to list in another country, Flipns is not the right answer today and we would rather say so than take the click.

Within India there is no city list to be on. Listings index on the city they were posted in, and a place gets its own page the moment there is inventory in it.
