What Flipns actually is
Flipns is a marketplace for India where people buy, sell and explore locally — goods that are brand new and goods that are ten years old, alongside property for sale or rent and job postings. Individuals, shops and local businesses can publish what they have, every product listing states its condition, prices are in rupees, and buyers and sellers meet locally to complete the deal.
It is a classifieds marketplace, not a shop. Flipns does not process payment for items, hold money in escrow or arrange shipping: two people agree a price in chat and settle it between themselves. Everything below is built around making that agreement easy to reach and safe to act on.
The three decisions everything else follows from
Listing is free, and there is no commission. Flipns earns when a seller chooses to promote a particular item at a published price — not by taking a percentage of every deal on the platform.
Trust is granted by people, not by an algorithm. The identity badge exists only after a moderator has opened a government ID and reviewed it, and it cannot be bought at any price.
Every page is a real page. Listings, seller profiles, categories and cities are server-rendered URLs with structured data over them, so what is for sale on Flipns can be found by a search engine or quoted by an AI assistant instead of being locked inside an app.

- Only promotion and a few metered extras. Listing, browsing, searching, messaging, offers and selling are all free with no commission. Credits buy visibility — 10 credits to feature a listing for a day, 8 to bump it — and one credit is one rupee.
- Do I need the app, or does the website do everything?
- The website does everything: browsing, listing, chat, offers and your public seller page all work in a browser with no install. Native iOS and Android apps run on the same backend and share the same URLs.
- Does Flipns handle payment or delivery?
- No. Flipns is a classifieds marketplace — it connects buyer and seller, who then agree a price in chat and settle payment and handover themselves. It does not process item payments, hold escrow or arrange shipping.
