Trust you can actually inspect

Two verifications exist on Flipns, and they say different things. A phone badge means that number was confirmed by one-time password. An identity badge means the account submitted a government ID and a Flipns moderator opened it and reviewed it by hand.

The identity badge is never granted automatically and is never for sale. That distinction is the whole point of it: a tick anyone can buy is decoration, and a tick a moderator has to grant is evidence.

Getting verified is free. Credits are held while a request sits in the queue and returned when it is decided, approved or not, and the seal does not expire — it is withdrawn only by a moderator, on evidence, and that decision can be appealed.

A badge is a signal about the person, never a guarantee about the item. Inspect what you are buying before you pay for it — that rule does not change because a profile is verified.

After a completed deal, buyer and seller rate each other and can leave a written review. Both sides carry a public average, so a seller is not the only one whose behaviour is on the record — a buyer who never turns up builds a history too.

Every public profile shows how long that person has been on Flipns alongside their rating, which is the single most useful thing to know about a stranger with no reviews yet.

Any listing, profile or conversation can be reported in one tap. Reports are not a suggestion box: once a target crosses a threshold of independent reports it escalates to moderators automatically, and a takedown leaves a full audit trail rather than an item quietly vanishing.

You can also block someone outright, which ends the conversation and hides you from them, without needing anyone at Flipns to act first.

Listings show a city and an area so buyers can judge whether it is worth the trip. The public map shows an approximate area by default. Exact coordinates are shared only when the seller enables the relevant option.

That is a default, not a setting to remember. It applies to the map, to near-me search and to the coordinates in the public API alike.

Flipns is a classifieds marketplace. It does not process payment for items, hold money in escrow, or arrange shipping — buyers and sellers agree a price in chat and settle it between themselves.

Saying so plainly is part of the safety design. Most marketplace fraud in India works by convincing someone that the platform is standing behind a transaction it has no part in; a user who knows Flipns never holds their money is much harder to talk into transferring it.
