Start with photos, not a form
Open the sell flow, add a few pictures, and the assistant reads them. It comes back with a title, a written description, the category it belongs in, a condition grade and a suggested asking price — a complete draft rather than a half-filled form with twelve empty fields staring back at you.
Condition is a first-class field on every Flipns listing, from brand new through to for-parts, which is why the assistant grades it explicitly instead of leaving it to a sentence buried in the description. Buyers filter on it, and search uses it.
Paste a link and it reads the page
Selling something you bought online, or something still on sale somewhere? Paste the product URL into the same conversation. Flipns fetches the page, pulls out the specifications and the images, and folds them into the draft you are already working on — you are not starting a second, separate flow.
Reading a link is not a mode you switch into. It is simply what the assistant does when a message you send happens to contain one, and progress is shown while it reads so you are never waiting on a spinner with no explanation.
It asks only what it cannot work out
The assistant is a conversation, not a wizard. It fills in everything it can infer and then asks about the rest — the things a photo and a product page genuinely cannot tell it: how long you have had it, whether the box and the bill are included, what is wrong with it, why you are selling.
Answers land straight in the draft. There is one draft per conversation, so you can leave, come back and carry on rather than starting again.
You approve every word
The draft is a proposal. Edit any field, overrule the suggested price, rewrite the description entirely — nothing is published until you press publish, and once it is live you can edit it like any other listing.
Where the assistant suggests a price it is a starting point drawn from what the item looks like it is, not a valuation and not a promise about what it will sell for. You set the number.
Listings are also moderated automatically once published, so an item that breaks the community guidelines does not stay up just because the assistant helped write it.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the AI listing assistant cost anything?
- No. Drafting a listing with the assistant is free, and so is publishing it. Credits on Flipns only ever pay for optional extras like featuring a listing or forwarding a buyer's message — never for creating one.
- Can I write my own listing instead?
- Yes. Every field the assistant fills is editable, and you can replace all of it. The assistant is there to remove the blank page, not to take the decisions.
- Is the suggested price what my item is worth?
- It is a starting point, not a valuation. Flipns suggests a figure based on what the item appears to be and its condition; you set the actual asking price, and buyers can still negotiate through offers in chat.
- What happens to a draft I do not finish?
- It stays a draft on your account. Nothing is public until you publish, and an unfinished draft never appears in the feed or in search.
