Sell online in India, for free

Anybody in India with something to sell and no wish to build a website for it. Individuals, shops and local businesses can publish new or used products through the same simple flow, then share their public catalogue with nearby buyers.

• Somebody selling one thing — a phone, a sofa, a bike — and wanting it gone this week
• A shop with stock on shelves and no online presence at all
• A reseller or dealer who lists constantly and needs a page to send people to
• An owner or agent with property to sell or rent, or an employer with a role to fill

Include clear photos of the actual item, its brand or model, condition, any faults, what is included, your asking price and the city where it is available. Use a free account to create the listing, and check the assistant’s draft against the item before publishing.

Keep private information out of your photos and description: home addresses, identity documents, account details and passwords do not belong in a public listing.

Create a free account and pick a handle. The handle is the address of your public page, so choose it the way you would choose a shop sign.

Photograph a product and let the assistant draft the listing: title, description, category, condition and a suggested price. If you are selling something that has a product page online, paste the link instead and it will read the specifications and images off it.

Check the draft, set the price you actually want, and publish. An active published listing gets a public URL that anyone can open without an account and can appear in Flipns browsing and search.

Repeat for the rest of your stock. Once you have a few items up, flipns.com/u/<your-handle> is a public catalogue you can put on a signboard, a bill, a WhatsApp status or a visiting card.

Nothing to publish, and no commission when something sells. That is not an introductory offer with an end date — it is the business model. Flipns earns from sellers who choose to promote a particular item, at prices published in the app.

Every new account receives 100 welcome credits. Optional paid features depend on your market; check the displayed cost before confirming a purchase or promotion.

List the actual piece with its dimensions, material, condition and clear photographs, including any damage. Explain whether it can be dismantled and what is included. Compare similar furniture in your area before setting an asking price; the original purchase price alone does not establish its resale value.

Agree viewing and collection with the buyer in chat. Discuss stairs, lift access and transport before either person makes a journey, and share precise collection details privately when needed. Flipns does not arrange a collection service or guarantee a sale. Confirm payment in your own banking app before handing the item over.

A listing can carry multiple units, so a shop with ten of the same item lists it once and the quantity goes down as it sells rather than the listing being duplicated ten times.

New and used sit side by side under the same profile. Condition is a field on every listing — brand new, like new, excellent, good, fair, or for parts — so buyers filtering for new stock find yours, and buyers hunting for a bargain still see it.

Three ways, and only the first depends on somebody already being on Flipns. Inside the app, your items appear in the local feed, on the map and in search, which understands what an item is rather than only matching the words in its title.

Outside it, every listing is a server-rendered public page carrying its price, condition, city and seller in structured data, sitting under category and city pages that link down into it. This helps search engines understand the item. Google decides whether and when to index a page; publication does not guarantee inclusion or ranking in search results.

And increasingly, through AI assistants: Flipns publishes an llms.txt, a public read-only API and a remote MCP server, so an assistant asked what is available near somebody can answer from live inventory instead of guessing.

Use clear photographs in daylight, describe wear honestly, and compare your asking price with similar items in the same condition. Share your public listing link and answer questions about the item, collection and price.

If an item is not attracting enquiries, check whether the photos show it clearly, the description answers common questions and the price reflects its condition. Optional promotion can increase visibility, but it does not guarantee a buyer.

Buying and selling are currently available in India. Participation and paid features depend on the country associated with your account; the app shows when they are unavailable.

Public listing and seller profile links can be viewed from outside India without signing in. Viewing a public page does not enable buying or selling in an unsupported country.

Flipns does not process item payments, hold money in escrow or arrange shipping. You agree a price in chat and settle it directly with the buyer — which means the safety rules are yours to apply, and they are short.

Confirm money has actually arrived by opening your own banking or UPI app; a payment screenshot proves nothing. Meet somewhere public. Never share a one-time password with anybody, including anybody claiming to be from Flipns. Keep the conversation in Flipns chat, because a logged conversation is what lets moderators act if something goes wrong.

Being asked to move to another app immediately, or to accept a “refundable” advance, are the two most common openings of a marketplace scam in India. Both are easy to decline.
